TESTIMONIALS

We researched and emailed 5 Cairn breeders in our area.  Bobbi Jo was the
first to respond and answer all our questions and extended an invitation to visit
her kennel.  We made appointments to visit two different kennels but after
spending an hour at the Powell's kennel, meeting some of the already spoken
for 5 week old pups and some of the adult dogs (including the mother and
father of our two Cairns), we decided we'd found the kennel we'd been looking
for and need look no further.  That afternoon we contracted to purchase two of
the pups from an upcoming litter.  Those pups have been with us for three
months now and we cannot imagine life without them.

The Powell's kennel is situated on a working farm with the family's log home a
few hundred yards from the kennel.  I was impressed with the building that
housed the dogs - it was clean and well planned to give the dogs outside and
inside space separated by doggy doors so they could go in and out as they
pleased.  While we did not tour the entire facility, it was very apparent that the
dogs (Cairns & Westies) were well cared for and happy.

As for our two, a male (Crosby) and a female (Hope) now almost 5 mos. old, we
are 100% satisfied!  They are the smartest little rascals with the biggest
personalities - they are quite literally the stars of our neighborhood.  They're very
sociable, energetic and have already responded well to training.

I can tell you that we definitely made the right decision in choosing the Powell's
kennel.  Bobbi Jo emailed us updates & photos of our guys every week until
they came home with us - we even made a trip to visit them when they were 5
weeks and she was very generous with her time, letting us visit and film them
and answering all our questions.

We are very happy to serve as references for Bobbi Jo and the PPF Farms
Kennel and would gladly answer any inquiries from prospective owners of one
(or maybe two) of their pups.

Sincerely,

Rebecca &
Judd Greenwood

I want to thank Tim and Bobbi Jo Powell for providing us a beautiful, playful,
healthy pup.  My family purchased our Westie puppy on 10/22/05.  After
researching various breeds and various breeders, we decided to purchase a
Westie at PPF Farms Kennel (Bobbi Jo Powell).  I inquired about available
puppies via e-mail and Bobbi Jo immediately got back to me with pictures and
descriptions.  My daughters and I decided to go and visit two puppies at the
farm to decide which pup would fit better with our family.  After a long seven-
hour ride, we arrived at PPF Farms Kennel.  Bobbi Jo and her husband Tim
welcomed us with the two puppies.  We played with the puppies for awhile and
then met the parents of both pups.  The whole experience was very educational
and enlightening.  She pointed out various differences between the parents of
the two pups.  We found the adult dogs and puppies to be very well cared for.
We finally decided to select one of the pups and name him Pablo.  We were not
allowed to take him home that day because he was not old enough.  We
arranged to meet Bobbi Jo and Tim two weeks later.

The next two weeks were spent preparing for our new puppy.  After a long two
weeks, we met Bobbi Jo, paid our balance and she gave us Pablo and all his
documentation.  We welcomed Pablo to our new home and continue to love
him more each day.  We took him to the vet the following week, and the vet
noted that he was a healthy and happy puppy.  Pablo is now almost six months
old.  He is a vital, warm member of our family.  The whole experience has been
extremely positive for me and my family.  I highly recommend that anyone
looking for a wonderful family pet should consider a puppy from Bobbi Jo
Powell.

When we lost our 15 year old sheltie about a year ago, we were torn with
whether or not to replace her with another family member. She had grown up
with my daughters, and was the queen of our house. However, it became
evident quickly that there was a void that had to be filled … so what to get?

We needed another ‘smaller family dog’ (according to my wife and daughters),
but it had to be assertive enough to not be intimidated by our 130 pound
loveable but playful St Bernard.

After doing a little bit of homework, I thought that maybe a West Highland White
Terrier (because of their sturdy build, their ‘big dog in a little dog body’ attitude,
and their intelligence and devotion to family) would be the perfect addition.

I did an internet search on ‘Westie’ breeders, and contacted Tim and Bobbi Jo
Powell about their puppies. Of all the contacts that I made, Bobbi Jo’s response
was both prompt and informative. Many responses were as simple as “here is
what I have available, and here is how much they are” … but Bobbi Jo made it
clear to me that they were looking for good homes for their puppies, with
families that were knowledgeable about the traits (positive and negative) of the
breed.

This meant a lot to me, our St Bernard was a rescue dog. Somebody bought a
cute fluffy adorable puppy from a pet store without considering that some day
she would be this large (but very lovable) slobbering dog that was not suited for
just every household.

After talking with Bobbi Jo a couple more times, we decided to purchase one of
their puppies. She kept us informed about Sammie Jo’s progress, providing
growth updates, results of vet check-ups, and pictures. She even offered to call
him by his new name as soon as we had decided on one.

Adoption time couldn’t come quick enough for us, so we made the 4 hour drive
to pick him up instead of waiting a couple more days and meeting them half
way as they had offered to do.

Sammie Jo had obviously been socialized and handled, as he responded well
and adapted quickly to his new home.

I hope to have him for a very, very long time … but would not hesitate to get
another Westie puppy from Tim and Bobbi Jo, or suggest Tim and Bobbi Jo
Powell as a preferred Westie breeder to any other family looking to adopt a
Westie!

Sincerely, Jeff Tedrick and Family

Our search to find a puppy started after the unexpected loss of our Westie
Snowball.  We knew we wanted another Westie, but none were available in
our area.  A good friend of ours suggested we try the internet. After contacting
many of the breeders, we received an e-mail from the Powells that a litter had
been born and a female puppy was available.

After sending a deposit the wait to get our puppy began.  We were surprised by
an e-mail with a picture of our week-old puppy.  We named her Sophie. Each
week we received a new picture and updates on how she was doing, shots,
and visits by the vet. When Sophie was three weeks old, we took a four hour trip
from our home to visit the Powells.  We met Sophie and her mother. The
property was very well maintained, the kennels looked very clean, and all the
dogs in the outdoor runs looked healthy.  Bobbi Jo is so sweet and you can tell
she really cares about all the dogs.

Before we knew it, it was time to pick up Sophie.  She was clean and healthy
and our vet said she was perfect when he examined her. Sophie has a very
good personality!  She took to crate training very easily and was house broken
within weeks.  She is so smart and loving and fits into our family very well.  We
are glad to have her! The whole process went so well that we're thinking of
maybe getting another puppy this summer.

My wife and I in Sept of 2005 bought a Cairn Terrier from Tim & Bobbi-Jo. My
wife & I have had 3 Cairns Terrier. We both love the breed of dogs. On Sept of
2005 our dog named Sha died. I started to look for a new dog.I found Tim &
Bobbi-Jo website and got in touch with them. They had a female ,just what we
wanted. We found Tim& Bobbi-Jo very business like. Price was very good and
they sent a picture of our dog every week as the dog got old enough to take
home. They meet us half way to pick up our Brandy. They are very nice people, I
would be glad to do business with them again. Health wise our Brandy was
very healthy. We took her to the Vet and no problems. Our Brandy is now 4
months old and a lot of fun, and we love her a lot. If anybody wants to call I
would be glad to talk to them anytime.

Working with Tim and Bobbi Jo was completely effortless.  Since we are not
extremely close location wise, they emailed us pictures of all the pups, we took
our pick, sent a deposit and voila!  We were soon to be pet owners!  Tim and
Bobbi Jo were kind enough to drive halfway to meet us, where we picked up the
newest (most spoiled) member of our family, Jackson in August 2005.  We
were fortunate enough to get our 2nd cairn, Fenway, from Tim and Bobbi Jo in
October 2005.  You always hear to be careful with breeders and puppy mills, but
we found Tim and Bobbi Jo to be incredibly personable AND knowledgable
about cairns.  Being first time pet owners, we had at least 20 questions, but Tim
and Bobbi Jo were always there to answer them pretty much immediately!  If
you are looking for an adorable, sweet, happy, playful dog, a cairn is for you! And
if you are looking to work with people who obviously love dogs and breed
WONDERFUL puppies, then Tim and Bobbi Jo are the breeders for you! They
made us one big happy (furry) family!!  THANK YOU TIM AND BOBBI JO!!

Tim and Bobbi Jo were very helpful when it came time for me to find my Westie.
They made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process because
they answered all of my questions completely – something I did not get from a
lot of other breeders I had emailed. They also sent me pictures of all their
puppies and even drove halfway to meet us! Once I picked up my puppy, I could
tell he was well taken care of and he has never had any health issues. My
puppy is now a little over a year old, and he never ceases to keep me laughing.
He can be somewhat mischievous at times (what terrier isn’t a little
mischievous!), but he is a really friendly and lovable dog. If I ever wanted to
purchase another Westie, I would definitely go back to Tim and Bobbi Jo!

Selecting a breeder has a great deal to do with what you want it a pup. Clearly,
Bobbi Jo knows good parents when she sees them! McKenzie, our eight-month
old Westie, is very intellectual, watching only "Animal Planet" on TV. She is well
read and shreds at least one newspaper a day. And, she is very discerning in
her tastes seeking only expensive leather shoes to chew instead of her many
rubber toys. She will lick my face off in glee when I get home and she takes a
nap when I do. I cannot imagine life without her!

My great aunt always said, "The way you raise your pups is the kind of dogs
you'll have." Since she was an Irish maiden aunt who never had a child or a
dog, I was older when I understood this axiom. She was right, of course, and
as a result, I am a dog snob! Unless you can find a wonderful, healthy rescue, a
reputable breeder offers the assurance of properly treated pups.

A puppy is a long-term commitment and it takes healthy stock to go the
distance. I began a relationship with Bobbi-Jo of PPF Farms Kennel before
McKenzie was born. I was looking for a conscientious breeder, interested in her
dogs' wellbeing. Comfortable with her operation, I inquired about a female
West Highland Terrier. Bobbi Jo said she selected parents based on what the
mix of temperaments, personalities and health would create. I saw pictures
of mom and dad and when this litter produced a little girl, I received weekly
pictures of McKenzie (female spelling) and was supplied with health reports
from the veterinarian.

The day finally arrived for me to pick up 8 week-old McKenzie; Bobbi Jo gave me
the health records, pedigree papers, hints for raising the pup, and food for the
ride home. Most importantly, Bobbi Jo continued to be available to share
information about how to raise a puppy-a whole new world to me.

Bobbie Jo and Tim,

We cannot tell you how happy we have been with our new little Cairn Terrier,
Dixie. She is a wonderful addition to our family and has a very good
temperament.

This was the first time we had purchased a pup from a breeder that we had
never met and a kennel we had never seen. We were not certain if we were
doing the right thing, as it seemed  it might be too impersonal . However, that
initial feeling went away quickly because of your professionalism and personal
attention to us.  Our contact with you , the photos and online updates were
terrific.  Not once did we have an unanswered question, or doubt.  Your
contracts are very specific, your attention to details was great and best of all, we
believe you truly care about each and every puppy you raise.

Dixie is a gem, thanks to you.. we appreciate it so much!

"We had an great experience buying and bringing home Amazing Larry. Bobbi
Jo and Tim were quick to reply, very informative and kept us up to date on his
progress. Then, when it came time to pick him up, they were even kind enough
to meet us half-way, helping us avoid a long drive and making the return trip that
much easier on him - and us! He's a happy, healthy, very intelligent little guy and
exactly what we were looking for. You can't resist that face, he makes everyone
smile! Thanks for helping us make him a part of our family."

In September of 2005, I lost my beloved Westie Niles to cancer. My husband
urged me to look for another Westie. I was nervous and apprehensive about
getting another dog. After about a week I began looking on the computer for
West Highland Terrier Breeders. I began making a list and attempted to contact
several in my immediate area. I telephoned and e-mailed two breeders but got
no reply.  I then telephone the third breeder on my list and that happened to be
Tim and Bobbi Jo.  It was after 8PM on a week night and Tim answered. He was
very kind and listened to my story. He then told me that his wife was the one I
should speak with.  I spoke to Bobbi Jo and she was willing to listing to my sad
story about Niles. I asked her about puppies and she answered all of my
immediate questions. (There would be many, many more.)

I spoke to Bobbi Jo for a while and she told me that she would e-mail me some
pictures of her puppies. The E-mail arrived the next day like she told me and the
puppies were beautiful. Over the next week I spoke to Bobbi Jo several times.
She always answered all my questions. Bobbi Jo sent me several
recommendations from other clients. I had many puppies to choose from and
without being rushed my husband and I made a decision to adopt, love and
care for a puppy named female #2. I contacted Bobbi Jo and she sent all
instructions regarding buying the puppy. Everything was clear and without worry.
She then sent me weekly pictures of my puppy. I would wait by the computer at
the beginning of the week to see this little ball of fur. As the weeks went by
Bobbi Jo contacted me about a day I could pick up my puppy. She stated that
she and Tim would travel to meet me with the pup. We met up and Bobbi Jo
was waiting outside her vehicle with my little girl that I named Daphne. I was
finally able to put a face with the person who was so kind to me and spent
hours with me on the phone and computer. We spoke for a while and she gave
me a puppy pack. The information was great and the food got me through
several days. Daphne is a beautiful, feisty, willful, healthy dog.  I had a great
experience with Bobbi Jo and would buy another pup and travel to Pennsylvania
in a minute.

It was  May of 2005 when I decided to buy a puppy. I have always owned
Westies, and wanted to get another one. I searched and searched when I finally
found someone that was pretty close to me, and the pups were priced just right
and they had a lot of good background in their add. That was Tim and Bobbi Jo
Powell. I called them and asked them about a puppy and they had one
available. I sent them the deposit and the contract and within days I had a
picture of my new puppy!! I was so excited. They were great to deal with. I had
new pictures of  my puppy every week. They always kept me updated on how
she was doing. Everytime I had a question, they were just a phone call or email
away. I was always answered in a very timely fashion. When the time finally
came for me to pick up my new puppy, Tim and Bobbi Jo came to meet me half
way so I could get my puppy.  I lived 4 hours away so them meeting me was
great!! When we met and I got my new puppy it was great.  She was bathed and
looked great!  She came with a package of all kinds of info which was really
good. It had information about my new puppy, all of her paperwork and all her
medical records. All of her shots were up too date and she looked very healthy.
There were coupons in there for dog food too. The transaction went so
smoothly. A couple weeks later I took my puppy to the vet and she was in great
health. The pups that Tim and Bobbi  had raised were wonderful.  Its been 6
months since we have had the puppy and I still hear from Bobbi Jo asking me
how the dog is doing. Whenever I have a question, still to this day I can ask and
they will always get back to me with a helpful answer. Our puppy's name is
Emma and she is doing great! She has a great temperament. She's is so
friendly and great to have around. She was very easy to train and she listens
very well. I am very happy that our choice to buy a puppy was from Tim and
Bobbi Jo Powell.  It was truly a great experience and my dog is a blessing. I
would encourage anyone that is looking to buy a Westie, these are the right
people to choose to buy from!! If I ever buy another Westie it will be from Tim
and Bobbi Jo Powell.
Thanks,
Jennifer

I would recommend PPF Farms Kennel to anyone looking to purchase a puppy.
We purchased our  Cairn Terrier, (Gizmo) from them and were very pleased and
comfortable with them from the beginning. They answered all of my questions
and kept me in touch on a weekly basis with pictures . We did drive there to pick
him out. Although it was not neccessary. There breeder facilities are clean and
a very loving enviroment. Gizmo is a very loveable puppy and he is great with
everyone. When they say they are bred for temperment they are 100% right. We
couldn't have asked for a better breeder or breed of puppy. They are still there
for me if I have any questions,  Gizmo was a great addition to our family, we are
very pleased with our choice of breeder. We knew as soon as we met them they
were good people who loved animals and wanted to share that . I am thankful
that they did and even more thankful they were on the internet. I would highly
recomend PPF Farms Kennel to anyone looking for a Cairn Terrier . Bobbi Jo
and Tim Thank you for everything. We love our new addition.

Sincerly,

PPF Farms Kennel was very professional and nice throughout the whole
process of buying a puppy. In the beginning they sent pictures so we could
choose which pup we wanted. I also enjoyed the weekly pictures and
information of the pup that you chose so you could see how they were
growing and what they would look like when you finally got to take them home.
It was also nice that they met us at a location close to our home so we did
not have to drive the whole way. My puppy Nessie (the Loch Ness Monster) is
very healthy, happy, energetic, and loves to get into trouble!! Highly
recommended."

Hi Tim & Bobbi:

I can't begin to tell you how thrilled we are with Abbey.  She is a wonderful dog
and we love her so much.  She is the sweetest dog.  She just adores everyone
and loves the other two dogs, Tosh & Tori and our cat, Tigger.  It is so funny the
way Tigger and Abbey play together, they wrestle all the time and just get so
much fun out of it.  It keeps Tigger young, he's 15 now and you would never
know it.  If I have to pick my favorite dog out of our three, it honestly would be
Abbey and I can't thank you enough for bringing us together!

We got our Westie from Tim and Bobbi Jo Powell in May 2005.  They were
friendly, helpful and great to deal with, even going the extra mile, literally, in that
they brought him part way to us when we went to pick him up.  He is a mild
mannered, fun loving, and very smart dog who soaks up any attention he gets,
loves to cuddle next to you on the couch but also has a very high energy level,
which is great since we have a 12 year old girl who loves to run and play.  We
love him and wouldn't give him up for anything!  Thanks, Tim and Bobbi Jo!

Shirley

I was very pleased with how everything went when buying a puppy from Tim and
Bobbi Jo.  They were very willing to answer any questions I asked, the business
procedure went smoothly, and my puppy was extremely healthy and friendly.  I
am very glad I chose to buy a puppy from them. I would recommend them to
anyone. Thanks.

This is my little Clown, Justice. He loves everybody that he meets and I get so
many compliments on his body structure, not to mention those sexy little brown
eyes! It all starts with the breeders..... Tim & Bobbi Jo Powell ----- Theresa Terry

We were looking for a Westie - but didn't really know where to start. We knew we
definitely didn't want to get it from a pet store or through the newspapers so
decided to look around on the internet and came across your ad.  Sent you an
email.. Got a really prompt response which was very impressive to us. The
emails you sent us in the beginning were clear, precise, professional, open
and it ultimately made us feel more comfortable about deciding to go ahead
and purchase one of your puppies. The extra plus was that you shared a pix of
the available male. That helped us say yes that we wanted him. Over the two
month course of email correspondence - we received at least several updates
a week with pictures of the growing Sprite. When we commented on this with
friends and family - they were impressed based on their past experiences and
stated that it showed that the breeders cared about us and our relationship with
Sprite. The day came for us to get Sprite - everything was ready to go - he had
all of his vet papers, AKC information, a new puppy kit, etc which made us much
more comfortable knowing more what we were getting with Sprite. Ultimately -
We felt like we knew Sprite when he was given to us and it was because of your
efforts in remaining in touch with us throughout the whole process. With this,
our lives have been enriched with our newest addition and we thank you for it.

Dear Tim and Bobbi Jo,

We want to take a moment to give you an update on our "boys", Winchester and
Remington.  Even though they are brothers, they have two different
personalities!  Winchester is our "Eeyore", more laid back and ho-hum. But
Remington, our "Tigger", is bouncy, full of energy and loves to give kisses!

And don't think for a minute that you can separate these two. Never!
They are best buddies and do everything together. As you can tell from the
pictures, Winnie and Remmie are both very healthy, happy and loving dogs. And
they are so spoiled by everyone that they do not even realize that they are dogs -
they think that they are babies, and we'll never tell them different.

We had found your website when searching for a new Westie puppy in
December 2004, and we were thrilled to learn that you had a new litter about
ready to go. We made the four-hour trip to visit your kennel and chose our
Winchester, who would be ready to come home in just two weeks. We never
thought that we would have two Westies, but we couldn't leave Remington
behind! We could tell they were best buddies from the moment we saw them!

We were happy to find out that you were willing to meet us a the
half-way point, so we didn't have to make the trip back to Punxsutawney. And of
course, we loaded up the car with six of us to meet you in State College and
bring our "babies" home!

As I am sure you can tell, Winchester and Remington are a great joy to us. With
these two, everyday is a new adventure and gives us another story to tell to our
friends and family!

We could not be happier!

Dear Tim & Bobbi Jo,

My boyfriend and I just recently lost two dogs ages 13 and 15 both belonging to
him prior to our relationship.  Our 13 year old Shorty was a terrier mix and came
to him as a stray and our 15 year old Charley was a lab/collie mix.  Charley was
the last to go and left us with a very empty house.  We had talked about what
kind of dog we would get and had thought we wanted a yorkie.  As I researched
breeds of dogs as well as breeders the price seemed pretty hard to swallow as
well as the knowledge that the breed was somewhat delicate.  Since we live on
a farm and are taking care of my son's lab Colby we decided they weren't the
dog for us.  Since we liked the terrier family I started looking into other breeds
and came across the westies and cairns and decided they seemed more
sturdy but still small with minimal shedding for our new house.  Since neither
one of us had ever dealt with breeders or had a registered dog I felt completely
out of my element.  Then I came across the website for ppffarms kennel and
was quite satisfied with all the information provided causing me to become
completely hooked on them.  I was also impressed with the way in which Tim
and Bobbi Jo handle the business end of the transaction including the contract
and all the paperwork.  When I called to inquire about their puppies Bobbi Jo
was so helpful and informative answering all my questions and concerns.  First
I wanted to see the cairn puppies but somehow I fell in love with the westie
pictures from the web site and asked if she could send me pictures of them as
well.  The choice was hard but we decided on a 4 week old westie male we
decided to name Kinnon.  Bobbi Jo sent me updated pictures every week and
we fell in love with him before we even met him.  The day finally came and Tim
was gracious enough to meet me half way with my very happy puppy.  He has
been to all his vet checks and is a healthy happy bundle of joy.  He is now 4
months old and has been a joy to train.  He likes his toys and playing with all
the neighbor dogs as well as tormenting our cats who tolerate his antics.  So
far he is not a chewer but will shred a newspaper now and again.  We could not
be happier with our first choice of a breeder or a dog.  He is a joy and a great
source of happiness for both of us.  Thank you Tim and Bobbi Jo.  You have
succeeded with your goal of breeding for personality and behavior.  We would
not go anywhere else for another dog.

Sincerely greatful,

Kim Adams and Kevin Schaeffer
